Why the mica dielectric matters at 20 kV
At high voltage, dielectric losses and partial discharge are the limiting factors. The mica dielectric combines high dielectric strength with low loss, which keeps the capacitance stable and the dissipation factor low across the full 20 kV range and over the whole temperature span.

Frequently asked questions
Can CV86 replace ceramic high-voltage capacitors?
In many positions, yes — and it is often an upgrade. Low-frequency ceramic dielectrics such as N70 show a capacitance drift of up to −70 % over temperature, while the mica dielectric in CV86 holds capacitance far more tightly.
What is the lead time for CV series mica capacitors?
Standard items are produced in 4–8 weeks from order confirmation. Custom designs are scheduled individually.
Do you supply samples for qualification testing?
Yes. Qualification samples are available on request; terms and cost are confirmed when the request is placed.
In which language is the technical documentation issued?
Type tables, the technical specification for the part number and dimensional drawings are issued in English, and in Russian where required.
